EDGE / Dr. Petar Stojanov

  • Dubai Future Academy (map)

A hands-on workshop that introduces a framework to rapidly solve big challenges, create new products, and improve existing ways of working.

This workshop is a followup to the KNOW talk on the science of innovation and the introduction of the concept of Smart Failure. The workshop is led by Petar Stojanov from Ebtikaar and Cheyenne Kamran from Consulting&.

Teams are split into groups and given the choice of several complex innovation challenges. Following a facilitated brainstorming session, each group boils down the symptoms into their essence using supplied tools and frameworks in the form of worksheets. Following this, groups reframe their challenges using the ‘How Might We’ statements. Under the view of visual timers in impossibly short timeframes, groups are challenged to rapidly brainstorm and hyperfocus on the most important actions, presenting their reframed ‘How Might We’ statements and the radical solutions they propose, together with their rationale for the technical feasibility as well as the business viability of their ideas.

The key takeaway for participants is having the necessary ingredients to understand a complex problem, identify what's important, and make a go/no-go decision in a relatively short amount of time.

To secure your seat at the talk, please fill in the form below with your answers. Spaces will be allocated based on the answers given below. If you have been accepted onto the session, a member of the Dubai Future Academy will be in touch to confirm your seat and provide further details.
